Must Have Tools to Create Flawless Brows

Beauties and Beaus,

I know you are probably thinking to yourself, "She's talking about eyebrows again?"...YES! I have my reasons, but just in case you're not up to speed about past eyebrow posts, check them below. It's a total of seven brow posts and this makes post number eight. I have finally reached my perfect number, so I guess I will rest my case after this post. Let me just catch you up to speed about you and the sisters (not twins) that have a permanent place in your life.

Your brows frame your face and it’s important to take your time while sculpting your brows including choosing the right brow products for flawless brow enhancement. It's safe to say that I must stress the importance for your brows to look natural and not heavily “drawn on. Choosing the wrong brow product, or the most convenient brow product can yield the wrong result and give you heavy brows, which aren’t appealing in pictures.  I have found that using wax-based brow products make your eyebrows appear heavier leaving your brows extremely oily at the end of the day. In my opinion,  sculpting the brows with a great matte brow powder or a brow product that dries matte will give you a natural looking brow, but if you want the BEST brows, Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz pencil and their Dip Brow Pomade is going to give you the best looking brows ever!

This is not a shameless plug, and I am not getting paid to mention these beauty products. I believe they will give you the results you need to look your best. I swear by these two products (Brow Wiz and Dip Brow). I have attempted to go backward with using products I’m accustom to using and they just don't look the same.

Sculpting your brows

When sculpting your brows, make sure you follow the three-point diagram. Your brow has a beginning, middle (the arch), and the end. It doesn't matter if your brows are thin, thick, or non-existent the three-point diagram works! Keeping the three-point diagram in mind, it's important to make sure you keep in mind the shape of your face. You don't want to over enhance your brows and you don't want to under enhance your brows. Over enhancing and/or under enhancing simply looks unnatural. You want to make sure you have a safe balance between the two. Below is a list of the tools need to sculpt the perfect brows.

Avoid the Eyebrow Halo

Recently, I started to sculpt my brows before I did anything else to my face. Since I started to do this, I've noticed this has helped to make sure my eyebrows look the most natural, and to make the application easier. The purpose for sculpting your eyebrows before applying your foundation is to help you avoid the eyebrow halo. I cannot express how important it is for you to do this first before applying your foundation. Don’t misunderstand me, you can always do your brows last, but if you choose to do so, make sure you  use a flesh tone concealer (one that matches your skin tone) on the top of your brow and use the highlighting concealer under your brow. If you decide to sculpt your brows first, you can simply use the concealer of choice to clean up your brows. If you fail to blend out all of your concealer, you will have an unwanted eyebrow halo in all of our bridal pictures.

If you decide to NOT wear foundation, use a flesh tone concealer. PLEASE do not use a light concealer. It's not a good look.

1. Spoolie Brush:

Use the spoolie brush to tame your brows and make sure the products your use are evenly distributed throughout your brow.

2. Angled Brush:

The angled brush will help to apply your brow product and make sure your eyebrows are sculpted perfectly.

3. Concealer Brush:

The concealer brush is used to help clean up your mistakes and to enhance your brows more.

4. Brow Pencil:

Your brow pencil is needed for obvious reasons, I use my brow pencil to help give me the shape that I want and sometimes I will use the same pencil to fill in my brows.

5. Brow Pomade, Gel, or powder:

These three products are used to further enhance your brows. If you are a brow expert, you can skip the pencil and use your angled brush to completely enhance your brows. Completely up to you!

My final wish for you and your brows: May your brow game be as strong as your coffee!
